GENERAL
DESCRIPTION
Low cost, high volume production seal seat
which consists of a square section ring mounted on an "L" section rubber gasket
(usually called "cup gasket"). The large contact area between gasket and housing
walls makes this type of seat ideal for rough surfaces. The elastomeric properties of the
rubber make the gasket to be the anti-rotation element and at the same time slight axial
and radial movements as well as minor vibrations can be absorbed. Easy to install.
