GENERAL
DESCRIPTION
The most popular seal seat design, it
consists of a square section ring that has a groove on the outside diameter with an o'
ring gasket in it, this o' ring gives the fricton force enough to avoid the seat to
rotate. Because the rear side of the seat is in contact with the housing end face there is
a better heat transfer from the seat to the gland. This type of seal seat is also known as
"o' ring seat". |
|
APPLICATIONS
Simple assembly and easy installation make
this type of seal seat the most used in almost all general application. However it's not
recommended when a rigid material gasket is required. |
